EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- The Rev. Denver L. Glenn Sr., 63, of East Prairie died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Marion, Ill.
He was born Nov. 27, 1943, in St. Louis, son of Paul F. and Beulah Scowden Glenn. He and Sue I. Whorton were married May 17, 2000.
Glenn was a member and pastor of Apostolic Truth Ministries Church in East Prairie. He also served as bishop of the Western Heartland District of Apostolic Truth Ministries.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, the Rev. Denver Glenn Jr. of Crothersville, Ind., Darryl Glenn of Hammett, Idaho, Dean Glenn of Englewood, Colo., Doug Glenn of Trinidad, Colo.; five daughters, Dawn Burger of Kelso, Mo., Deneva Wolsieffer of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Dorinda Dain of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Darlene Campbell of Milford, Del., Debra Glenn of Denver; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Phillips of Scott City; a brother, Doyle "Bob" Glenn of Belleville, Ill.; a sister, Vivian Branson of Fulton, Ill.; 27 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday at Apostolic Truth Ministries Church, with Bishop Randy Wonders officiating. A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 3 p.m. at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
