PERRYVILLE -- The Rev. Charles F. Rice, C.M., 82, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 15, 1916, at St. Louis, son of Robert E. and Loretta Sanders Rice. He was ordained Dec. 18, 1943, as a Roman Catholic priest. ...
PERRYVILLE -- The Rev. Charles F. Rice, C.M., 82, of Perryville died Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 15, 1916, at St. Louis, son of Robert E. and Loretta Sanders Rice.
He was ordained Dec. 18, 1943, as a Roman Catholic priest. He served 53 years in Perry County Catholic parishes, including St. James-Crosstown, The Assumption-St. Boniface, St. Vincent de Paul and St. Rose of Lima-Silver Lake. He was director of The Association of The Miraculous Medal for 20 years.

Survivors include a brother, Phil Rice of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at St. Mary's of the Barrens on Tuesday from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and on Wednesday from 7 a.m. until time of Mass. A Catholic wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's of the Barrens.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Barrens. Burial will be in Vincentian Cemetery.
