TESSIE BROWN

JACKSON -- Tessie Marie Brown of Jackson died at the St. Francis Medical Center on Friday, Oct. 9, 1998.

She was born March 24, 1915, at Jackson, daughter of James and Lena Kniebert Taylor.

She first married Albert Byerly. He preceded her in death. She then married Cletus Brown. He died Nov. 7, 1996.

She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Crump and was a member of the Homemakers Star Club of Whitewater.

She is survived by two sons, Albert John Byerly of Keller, Texas, and David Lee Byerly of St. Louis; a daughter, Edith Bay of St. Louis; a brother, Jacob Taylor of Burfordsville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.

Service will be held today at 10 a.m. at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson, with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating. Interment will be in Proffer Cemetery.
