Terry Edward Stephens Sr. of Scott City, 58, was born July 2, 1963, in Cape Girardeau to John Edward Stephens and Lois (Felton) Heath-Edwards and passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, Missouri, surrounded by family.

On March 13, 1983, he married Debra Laverne Stacy in Chaffee, Missouri. She preceded him in death Sept. 17, 2021.

Terry was an avid fisherman who loved demolition derbies and racing stock cars, but his biggest enjoyment was spending time with his family.

Terry is survived by one son, Terry Edward (Chelsee) Stephens Jr. of Chaffee, Missouri; two daughters, Ashley (Chris Curneal) Baker and Jessica Stephens, both of Scott City; eight brothers, John Edward (Lishia) Stephens Jr. of Okay, Oklahoma; Rick (Susie) Black of Clarkton, Missouri; Tony Stephens of Dexter, Missouri; Chris (Tracy) Black of Clarkton; Trevor (Chuck) Fisher of Sugarland, Texas; John Stephens of Scott City; Randy Stephens of Cape Girardeau; and Chad Fisher of Whitewater; two sisters, Pam Avery of Bryan, Texas, and Sandy (Dave) McBride of Chaffee; nine grandchildren, Stacy, Justin, Alexis, Ryan, Sarah, Christopher, Morgan, Alyssa and Brysen; two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Karter; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Apart from his wife and father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joey Stephens; two sisters, Sue Webb and Michelle Stephens; and one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Jade Stephens.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the New Life Gospel Church in Scott City.
