Terry Dean Ross, 75, of Jackson passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at his home.
He was born May 5, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, son of Erbin V. and Daisy Jewel Kinder Ross. He and Wanda Eaker were married on June 29, 1968.
Terry grew up in Delta. He enlisted in the National Guard in 1967. Terry won a state championship in marksmanship. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Terry was a carpenter and electrician, working all over the United States installing fixtures in stores. He also worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation as a road crew member.
Loving survivors include his wife, Wanda Ross; daughters, Tracie (Jerry) McFadden of Jackson and Melissa (Clay) Ausley of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; granddaughter, Jessica Ross; great-granddaughters, Haylee Presley and Maddie; brother, Ted (Charlene) Ross of Allenville; niece, Heather Deck; nephew, Aaron Ross; and two great-nephews and a great-niece.
Terry was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Arbon Dwane and Gary Wayne Ross.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday May 5, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday May 6, at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Boardman officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park in Marble Hill.
The family suggests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
