Terry E. Rodgers, 73, peacefully passed from his Whitewater home to his heavenly home Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020.
He was born Dec. 6, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Orville J. and Letis M. Morlan Rodgers. He and Linda Gilder were married Nov. 12, 1967.
Loving survivors include his wife of 53 years, Linda Rodgers of Whitewater; two sons, Steve (Clarissa) Rodgers and Darren (Cindy) Rodgers, both of Whitewater; five grandchildren, Cole (Chelsea) Rodgers, Cade Rodgers, Conner Rodgers, Jennifer Moore and Jameson Moore and fiancee, Melanie Lacey; three great-grandchildren, Hadlee Blake, Iziah Cruz and Cheyenne Rodgers; two sisters, Carolyn (Steve) Brotherton of Jackson and Patricia (Steve) Applebee of Tennessee; a sister-in-law, Ruth (the late Doug) Rodgers of California; his mother-in-law, Opal Gast of Whitewater; in-laws, Barbara (Mark) Allen of Leopold, Missouri, Dannie (LaDonna) Gilder of Whitewater, Bonnie Horman of Jackson, Lori Lalumondierre of Cape Girardeau and Lisa (Chuck) Arnold of Jefferson City, Missouri; and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Doug Rodgers; and a brother-in-law, Herbie Gilder.
A small gathering of family and friends will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Zion Methodist Cemetery, west of Gordonville. The Rev. Dan Chaney will officiate a graveside service.
Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or Crown Hospice.
