DEXTER -- Terry Gibson, 44, of Tulsa, Okla., died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997, at his home, from cancer.
He was born March 28, 1953, son of Harold and Ruth Wilson Gibson. He was a 1971 graduate of Dexter High School, graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and the University of Oklahoma School of Law.
Gibson practiced law a number of years. He and wife Cathy were owners and instructors at Gibson Martial Arts Academy in Tulsa. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Tulsa.
Survivors include his wife; his parents of Dexter; a brother, Alan Gibson of Dexter; three sisters, Lynn Morris of Fulton, Sonja Alexander of St. Simons Island, Ga., Angela Gibson of Tulsa; maternal grandfather, Lee Wilson of Dexter; and paternal grandmother, Mildred Gibson of Dexter.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter.
