Terry A. Crowell, 72, died Friday, May 22, 2020, at her home.
She was born Sept. 2, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to Bill W. and Helen Talent Rose. She and Terry E. Crowell were married April 19, 1969, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Terry was a 1965 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and a 1969 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University.
Terry taught school 31 years for Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with the State School for Severely Handicapped. She taught 10 years at New Dawn in Sikeston, Missouri, and 21 years at Parkview in Cape Girardeau.
A lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Terry served in a variety of leadership roles. She was a past member of Cape Girardeau VIP board; Horizon Enrichment Center board; Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) board; Friends of the Cape Girardeau Public Library board; Stephen Minister at Missouri Veterans Home; hospice volunteer at Southeast Hospital; and member of Cape Girardeau Power of Praying Women Committee.
Terry is survived by her husband, Terry E. Crowell of the home; sons, Jason (Casey) Crowell of Cape Girardeau and Josh (Theresa) Crowell of Jackson; and granddaughters, Morgan Crowell of Clayton, Missouri, Isabella, Alaina and Sophia Crowell of Jackson and Laura Bertrand of Jackson. She is also survived by a sister, Barb Narsh of Jackson; brother, Steve (Regina Shea) Rose of Laporte, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
