Teresa Kay Maevers, 41, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Aug. 5, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born April 29, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Jerry and Beverly Carr Lewis. She and Curtis Maevers were married Sept. 16, 1978, at Egypt Mills.
Maevers was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau, and a 1976 graduate of the former College High School.
She had worked at Kmart and Erb Equipment. She was a member of Hanover Lutheran Church, and Nell Holcomb Parent Teachers Association.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Kyle Maevers of the home; her parents; a brother, Guy Lewis; and a sister, Anna Dienstbach, all of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy and Vicar Greg Lucido will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Church Cemetery.
