Teresa Hagedorn, 93, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at her home.

She was born July 14, 1912, in St. Louis, daughter of Michael and Bridget McHugh Martin. She and Elmer Hagedorn were married Nov. 29, 1934, in St. Louis. He died March 7, 1992.

Mrs. Hagedorn moved to Cape Girardeau in 1937 from St. Louis. She owned and operated The Fabric Shop on Spanish Street 12 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Ladies Sodality, and St. Francis Perpetual Adoration.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Richard and Doris Hagedorn of Cape Girardeau, Robert and Susan Hagedorn of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., David Hagedorn of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Diane and Steve Johnston of Cape Girardeau, Carol O'Hayon of Palm Beach Gardens; seven grandchildren, Polly Hagedorn, Rick Hagedorn, Ryan Hagedorn, Andy Johnston, Kristyn O'Hayon, Jennifer Hagedorn, and Leah Hagedorn; four great-grandchildren, Mark Hagedorn, Megan Hagedorn, Blake Hagedorn, and Bailie Johnston.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Parish prayers will be at 7.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Southeast Hospice or Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts.
