Teresa Cook

Teresa Renee Cook was born Nov. 10, 1961, in Chaffee, Missouri, and departed her life Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 60 years.

Teresa was raised by her loving parents, Judith Ann Tankersley and the late Bill Tankersley. In March 1979, she married Keith Cook in Delta. He survives.

Apart from her mother and husband, she is also survived by a son, Jeremiah (Sarah) Cook of Cape Girardeau; daughter, Sarah Jo Cook of Jackson; three sisters, Jolene (Gary Dysinger) Rievley of Elk City, Oklahoma, Beth Rievley of Cape Girardeau and Robin Huffman of Jackson; brother, Patrick (Tammy) Tankersley of Jackson; and four grandchildren, Katlyn Jo Cook, Bryce William Leslie Cook, Isabelle Aida Cook and Sidney Ann Marie Cook.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Larry Huffman.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Jackson.

Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church, with Pastor Troy Richards officiating. Interment will follow at Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Gordonville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, and Tunnel to Towers, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
