BENTON, Mo. -- Tenea Marie Choate, 62, of Benton passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 22, 1956, in Peoria, Illinois, to the late Leslie Conure and Dorothy Malee Dodismann Hampton. She married Rick L. Choate on Set. 14, 1974, and he survives of the home.
Tenea was a retired executive assistant for Med Assets Inc.-Vizient. She was a member of Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.
She is survived by her husband, Rick Choate of Benton; two sons, Brian (Natalie) Choate of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Lucas (Brianne) Choate of Cannon Air force Base, New Mexico; two brothers, Les (Mickey) Hampton of Chaffee, Missouri, and John Hampton of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two sisters, Peggy Nicely of Lady Lake, Florida, and Margene (Tony) Rivera of Bedford, Virginia; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service today at Cape First Church in Cape Girardeau.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at the church, with the Rev. Gary Brothers officiating. We will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee to travel to Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield for the 10 a.m. burial.
