Teddy Schatz

DEXTER, Mo. — Teddy Joe Schatz Sr., 54, of Perryville, Mo., died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

He was born Nov. 27, 1954, in Malden, Mo., son of Ira Henry Crawford and the late June Elizabeth Farris Schatz. He and Patricia Sontag Schatz were married March 27, 1992. She died Dec. 8, 2008.

Survivors include his father of Sacramento, Calif.; three sons, Michael Schatz and Jamie Schatz of Malden and T.J. Schatz Jr. of Risco, Mo.; five daughters, Agnes Schatz of Campbell, Mo., Shawney Brown and Kristie Poirrier of Friedheim, Mo., Mandy Chotrow of Perryville, and Tracy Ballinger of Farmington, Mo.; a sister, Vickie Dorden of Fisk, Mo.; a brother, Terry Schatz of Fisk; and 14 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his wife and a grandson, Cole Poirrier.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and and from 6:30 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Cebulak officiating.

Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville.
