JONESBORO, Ill. -- Teddie Whitacre, 78, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1991, at Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Carbondale, daughter of Daniel Bye and Lois Jones Whitacre. Whitacre was a librarian at Jonesboro Library for many years. JONESBORO, Ill. -- Teddie Whitacre, 78, of Jonesboro, died Friday, Aug. 16, 1991, at Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Carbondale, daughter of Daniel Bye and Lois Jones Whitacre.

Whitacre was a librarian at Jonesboro Library for many years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Carbondale, with an associate membership at Jonesboro United Methodist.

Surviving is a sister, Pauline Whitacre of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Norris and Son Funeral Chapel here. The Revs. Jeanette Sanders and Garnet Mitchell will officiate, with burial in Oakland Cemetery at Carbondale.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
