MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Theodore "Ted" Peters, 74, of Marble Hill passed away Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home.
He was born May 5, 1937, at Bessville, Mo., son of Charles and Agnes C. Beel Peters. He married Kathleen Hinkebein on Aug. 21, 1971, at St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold, Mo.
Ted worked in heating and air conditioning. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon, Mo., and a 3rd Degree member of St. Isidore Council 5898.
He served his country proudly in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Peters of Marble Hill; three brothers, Herman Peters of Cape Girardeau, Clarence Peters of De Soto, Mo., Ralph Peters of Marble Hill; and a sister, Shirley Thiele of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Dwayne; and two brothers, Albert Peters and Leroy Peters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. The rosary will be at 7 p.m., with parish prayers following.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Church, with the Rev. William Hennecke officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery, with full military honors.
