JONESBORO, Ill. -- Theodore "Ted" Hase, 93, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 8, 1905, in Dongola, son of Oscar C. and Mae Dillow Hase. He and Beulah A. Miller were married April 24, 1926, in Murphysboro.

Hase was a school teacher 41 years. He had served as vice president, president, and secretary of Alexander, Pulaski and Union County Retired Teachers Association.

He was a member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna, and was director of Kornthal Union County Memorial Society 35 years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Hase of Anna; four granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Fuenral Home in Jonesboro from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Rick Hertenstein officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
