SIKESTON -- T.E. "Sonny" Campbell, 64, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, June 17, 1992, at his farm in Bell City.
He was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Hoffman, Okla., son of Harry B. and LaRue G. Townsend Campbell. He and Evelyn White were married Dec. 2, 1951, at Elsberry.
Campbell was a farmer, landowner, and president of Crowder Gin Co. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Harry B. Campbell II; two daughters, Jane Campbell and LaRue LaPlante, all of Sikeston; two sisters, Harryette Campbell of Sikeston, Barbara Stoffer of New Madrid, and two grandsons.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Charles E. Buck officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
