CHARLESTON -- T.C. Williams, 53, of Mt. Vernon, Ill., died Friday, March 7, 1997, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He was born March 17, 1943, in Dyersburg, Tenn., son of T.A. and Elnora Cobbs Ware Williams. He married Flora Jean Andrews, who preceded him in death.
Williams was a member of Opportunity Church of God In Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Shanlonda Thompson of Charleston, Diane Moore of Cape Girardeau; two sons, T.C. Williams Jr. of Kansas City, William Smith of Rock Island, Ill.; six sisters, Billie Cain and Beatrice Jones of Mt. Vernon, Hattie Nelson, Lela Ware, Della Ware and Leigh Ware, all of Charleston.
He is also survived by six brothers, Taylor Williams of Metropolis, Ill., James Ware of Oklahoma City, Okla., Bobby, Frank Jr., Paladen and Randy Ware, all of Charleston; stepfather, Frank Ware Sr. of Charleston; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter and brother.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.L. Posey officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
