TATE JACKSON

EAST PRAIRIE -- Tate Jackson, 60, of Counce, Tenn., died Thursday Dec. 9, 1993, at the Jackson-Madison County Hospital in Jackson, Tenn.

He was born Oct. 1, 1933, at Barnes Ridge, the son of the late Clifford and Pauline Tanner Jackson. He was married to Glenda Thomas, who preceded him in death Jan. 27, 1963.

He was a retired farmer and of the Baptist denomination.

Survivors include two sons, Jackie Dale Jackson of Porterville, Calif., and Andy Jackson of Cambria, Calif.; a daughter, Patty Lynn Jackson of Cambria; four brothers, Clifford Jackson of Counce, George Jackson of Porterville, Chester Jackson of Brownsville, Texas and Bennie Jackson of Parma; two sisters, Brenda Poppy of Mickie, Tenn., and Barbara Akin of Cameron, Okla.; and a grandson.

He also was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter and a brother.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. George White will officiate, and burial will be in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
