On Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, Tarl E. Luhring, 29, of Cape Girardeau passed away in an automobile accident near Paducah, Kentucky.
He was born March 26, 1992, in Gainesville, Florida, to Mark and Darla Jo Poston Luhring. He and Amanda Burnett were united in marriage Oct. 15, 2015, on a destination wedding in Ruskin, Florida.
Tarl was a 2010 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
He worked nearly 10 years as a deckhand engineer for Hines-Furlong Lines in Paducah.
To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife, Amanda Luhring of Cape Girardeau, and their children, Kylie Jo, Hudson Ray and Harlin Jay; parents, Mark and Darla Jo Luhring of Cape Girardeau; two siblings, Lana Jo Luhring (Daniel Pieper) of Advance, Missouri, and Nick Gillman (Christine Breedlove) of Tampa, Florida; mother-in-law, Carla Burnett, and husband, Larry Kitchen; father-in-law, Jay (Terri) Burnett of Perryville, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Ronald and Nancy Poston of Cape Girardeau; and sisters-in-law, Rachel (Noland) Cook of Cape Girardeau, Brittany (Paul) Veneziano of O'Fallon, Missouri, Brittney (Josh) Horrell of Jackson and Valerie Burnett of Perryville.
Tarl was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Marilyn Luhring.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Cape Girardeau.
A service to celebrate Tarl's life will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Rocky and Laura Strand officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Some of the family members have extensive health concerns, so face masks are required and appreciated.
