Tamara “Tammy” Jo Hunt, 67, of Millersville died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 14, 1949, in Cape Girardeau to Jesse and Dorothy Baker Huckstep. She married Luther Hunt on Oct. 17, 1968, in Joplin, Missouri.
Tammy was a caring and fully devoted wife who loved her family. She was also a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who will be dearly missed. She devoted her life for many years driving a bus for the Jackson School District and considered all the children as her own.
She is survived by her husband, Luther; a son, Scott (Chandie) Hunt of Fredericktown, Missouri; a daughter, Angela (Matt) Batchelor of Millersville; two brothers, Mike (Dana) Huckstep of Joplin and Keith (Joni) Huckstep of Jefferson City, Missouri; and 11 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at RR 1 Millersville.
