SYVELLA HENSON

CHARLESTON -- Funeral for Syvella Henson of Charleston will be held at 1 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Edward Thomason will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Henson, 69, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 1999, at her home.

She was born Jan. 21, 1930, in Tuckerman, Ark., daughter of W.A. and Ollie May Helms McTigue. She and George Robert Henson were married Aug. 9, 1951. He died Dec. 12, 1988.

Henson had worked at Brown Shoe Co. and Young's Gift Shop. She was a member of Charleston Church of Christ. She lived in Charleston most of her life.

Survivors include four daughters, Theresa Henson of Wyatt, Georgeanna Middleton of Charleston, Barbara Perry of Imperial, Dottie Johnson of High Ridge; two sisters, Ozella Scott and Ida Hurley of Charleston; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
