Sylvin Howell

Sylvin Howell, 72, of Carmel, Ind., died Sunday, Feb. 22, 2004, at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, Ind.

She was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Cappy Lee and Ida Mae Fagan Young. She married Larry Dean Howell.

Howell was a member of College Park Baptist Church, and was a Bible study discussion leader many years.

She lived in Cape Girardeau until 1957.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Clarissa "Chris" Hoffman of Anthem, Ariz., Leah Howell of Carmel; a son, Lawrence Howell of Bloomington, Ind.; a sister, Virginia Sweigard of Lodi, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.

Friends may call at Randall and Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Russell Irwin will officiate. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Park in Westfield, Ind.
