EAST PRAIRIE -- Sylvia S. Ray, 81, of East Prairie, died Monday, Aug. 22, 1994, at East Prairie Nursing Center.

She was born March 28, 1913, at Steele, daughter of William A. and Pearl I. Michie Moore. She married Walter C. Ray, who died Jan. 16, 1976.

Survivors include two brothers, Ralph Moore of Pekin, Ill., William "Toots" Moore of East Prairie; two sisters, Alice Stallings of Crystal City, Genevieve Decker of East Prairie; six half sisters, Georgia Kemp and Laurie Russell of Immokalee, Fla., Agnes Gilmore of White Haven, Fla., Letha Roberts of Pevely, Patsy Thomas and Willie Norman of East Prairie, and a stepbrother, Jessie Mendenhall of West Plains.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
