DEXTER -- Funeral for Sylvia L. Plemmons of Rockford, Ill., will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Revs. Jimmy Kirby and Ronnie Parker will officiate, with burial in Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Plemmons, 54, died Monday, Sept. 21, 1998, at her home.
She was born Aug. 31, 1944, at Broseley, daughter of Pete and Kathleen Reeves Kiger.
Plemmons was an inspector at Jefferson-Smurfit Corp. many years, retiring due to ill health. Formerly of Southeast Missouri, she lived in Elgin, Ill., 34 years and in Rockford the past year.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Bauer of Rockford; her mother, Kathleen Kiger, a sister, Barbara Ramey, a brother, Robert Kiger, all of Dexter; a grandson; and three stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
