Sylvia Lee McCommack, 80, of Scott City died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1927, in Mullens, W.Va., daughter of Harry Benjamin and Myrtle Daisy Foster Porterfield. She and Howard Milton "Mac" McCommack were married June 4, 1949, in Roanoke, Va. He died April 15, 1996.
McCommack was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include three daughters, Carrie McCommack of Scott City, Rebecca (David) Moffatt of Fort Worth, Texas, Deborah (John) Vetter of Scott City; and two granddaughters, Pam and Sarah Amrhein of Charlotte, N.C.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time May 24 at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. May 24 at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Woeltje officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
