Sylvia Joyner

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Sylvia L. Joyner, 63, of Mounds died Thursday, July 12, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 19, 1944, in Bardwell, Ky., daughter of Burnie E. and Callie P. Hollis Edging. She married Charles "Spike" Joyner.

Joyner was a bartender 21 years at Egyptian Country Club in Mounds.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen and Kimberlee Joyner of Mounds; two sisters, Kitty Terry of Bardwell, Judy Haws of Mounds; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill.

Private burial will be in a Bardwell cemetery at a later date.
