CHARLESTON -- Sylvia Irene Morrison, 66, of Charleston died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born April 13, 1929, in East Prairie to the late Jack Owens and Minnie L. Whitlock Kell. In 1953, she married Robert Eugene Morrison, who died in 1987.
She lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She had been a dietitian at Jewish Hospital in St. Louis until ill health forced her retirement. She was a member of Elm Street Baptist Church in Charleston.
Survivors are three sons, Robert Eugene Morrison Jr. and Richard Allen Morrison, both of St. Louis, and Johnny Ray Morrison of Sikeston; four daughters, Paula Isbell and Deborah Cloud, both of Charleston, and Brenda Piacintini and Peggy Lee Jones, both of St. Louis; four brothers, Paul Kell of Swedeborg, Carroll Kell of Farmington, Mass., Theodore Kell of Grayville, Ill., and Hershel Kell of Hudson, N.C.; a sister, Shirley Edelstein of Carmel, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother.
The body was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
