SYLVESTER LAWRENCE

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Sylvester "Jim" Lawrence, 66, of Perryville, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, at his home.

He was born July 8, 1934, in Perry County, son of Robert M. and Barbara K. Berkbigler Lawrence.

He married Verna L. Howard on May 7, 1955.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, the American Legion and the National Guard. He had worked as a lineman at Citizens Electric in Perryville.

Survivors include his wife; his mother; a daughter, Robin Moll of Perryville; a brother, Gary W. Lawrence of Perryville; two sisters, Mary Rousseau and Shirley M. Blechle, both of Perryville; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Young & Sons Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Matthew Marks will officiate.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
