SYLVESTER BUHS

SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Sylvester J. Buhs, formerly of Scott City, was held Wednesday at Jay B. Smith Funeral Home in Maplewood. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.

Buhs, 85, died Monday, Sept. 8, 1997, at the Veterans Home in St. Louis.

He was born Dec. 10, 1911, at Kelso, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Buhs. He married the former Cleta Sneed.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Maxine Tebeau of Maplewood, Jo Ann Meggs of McClure, Ill., Norma Dills of Overland; three sisters, Delphine and Coleta Buhs of Cape Girardeau, Allene Huck of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
