SYDNEY B. LATTIN

Sydney B. Lattin, 88, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

He was born Feb. 23, 1906, in Lula, Miss., son of Will and Nancy Caruthers Lattin. He and Bessie Mae Porter were married in 1937 at Neelys Landing.

Lattin had driven a coal truck, and later was a truck driver with Landgraf Lumber Co. He was a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, C.Q. Lattin of Cape Girardeau, and Theola Lattin of East St. Louis, Ill.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel after 11 a.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
