Sybil Hoover

Sybil E. Hoover, 87, died April 19, 2007, in St. Louis, Mo.

She was born May 14, 1919, in Portageville, Mo. She was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Tabernacle Church and employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Griffith M. Hoover; two sons, Norman James (Katie) and Darrell James (Flora); step-daughters Elaine Clark and Zyzla Perkins (Earl); grandchildren, Steve James, Karen Harris (Don), Darrell James, Scott James (Casey) and Connie Orr (Matt); great-grandchildren Aellissa Daughtery, Amber Pratt and Peyton James; great-great-grandchildren Kyle Woods, Katelynne Daughtery, Tiffany, Nathan, Mariah and Corey.

Visitation was from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Kutis South County Chapel, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road (at Butler Hill), and will be from 11 a.m. to noon today at Pentecostal Lighthouse Tabernacle church, 202 Industrial Drive. Interment will be at Shepherd Hill Cemetery.
