Susan Swartz, 84, 2910 Beaver Creek Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born April 27, 1911, in Chanute, Kan., daughter of Andrew and Mabel Henry Hudson. Susan Swartz, 84, 2910 Beaver Creek Road, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born April 27, 1911, in Chanute, Kan., daughter of Andrew and Mabel Henry Hudson. She married Romaine J. Swartz, who died in 1989.

Swartz and her husband owned and operated Swartz Clothing Store in Fredonia, Kan., more than 30 years.

She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and its Dawson-McAlister Circle, and B.I. Chapter of PEO.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Richard Swartz of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Nancy Rickenbacher of Carrollton, Texas, and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 5-7 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Centenary Church, with the Rev. Neil Stein officiating. Burial will be in Fredonia City Cemetery in Fredonia.
