GLEN ALLEN, Mo. -- Susan Marie Sullivan, 57, of Glen Allen passed away suddenly Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at her home in Glen Allen.
She was born March 9, 1966, in Granite City, Illinois, to the late Charles and Roberta Cargill Kirkpatrick.
Susan, granddaughter Destinee and nephew James Skaggs all passed away due to a devastating tornado.
Susan was a Head Start teacher for nearly 15 years. She had an avid love for pigs. She loved to spend her free time coloring on her tablet or in coloring books. Susan had a sweet spot for her dog, Baby, who survives.
Survivors of the family include a daughter, Amanda Ellis of Sikeston, Missouri; brother, Wayne (Shelia) Kirkpatrick of Glen Allen; and a whole bundle of adopted grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Shipley; brother, Charles Kirkpatrick; three sisters, Jeannie Skaggs, Linda Kirkpatrick and Betty Cart; nephew, Ethan Sullivan; and niece, Rylee Sue.
A funeral service for Destinee and memorial service for Susan and James will be held Monday, April 10, at Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Missouri. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Due to limited seating for this service, it is encouraged that everyone attends the services in a timely manner.
It is requested that donations be made to the Hutchings-Pendergrass Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill to help with the sudden passing of Destinee, Susan and James.
