ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Susan Terry Mangum peacefully went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, surrounded by her husband and children, after multiple battles with breast cancer.
She was born Oct. 22, 1961, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was raised in Cape Girardeau. She spent her last 37 years in Albuquerque.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Doug Mangum; her four children and their spouses, Erynn and Jon O'Brien, Bryant and Nicole Mangum, Caleb and Nicole Mangum, and Cayce Mangum; her 10 grandchildren, Nathan, Parker, Gabriel, Hudson, Eisley, Sammy, Nora, Emily, Sophia and Elizabeth; her mother, Eloise Terry of Cape Girardeau; her siblings and their spouses, Carolyn and Eric Pruemer, Alan and Penny Terry and David and Dolly Terry.
Her family was the joy of her life, and every activity was driven by how much family could be included. Her strong faith was strengthened daily through her amazing and unselfish prayer life. Leaving a legacy of loving Jesus as her Savior was her greatest desire. She journaled her battle with breast cancer on her Caring Bridge site — www.caringbridge.org/visit/susanmangum/journal. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
French Funerals & Cremations in Albuquerque is in charge of arrangements.
