Clara Sue Thompson, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 12, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Sept. 16, 1942, at Essex, Mo., daughter of Harold and Jewell Irene Nichols Hooks. She and Benny Royce Thompson were married June 23, 1960, at Tijuana, Mexico. He died Dec. 26, 1995.
Thompson worked as a cook for seven years at Sikeston public schools, then as a packer for Brown Shoe Co. for 18 years before retiring. She was a member of Crowe Congregational Methodist Church in Matthews, Mo.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Harold Thompson and Timothy Royce Thompson of Sikeston; a daughter, Felicia Kay Baker of Sikeston; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon until the time of funeral at 2 p.m. Monday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Bill McCormick will officiate.
Burial will be at Memorial Park in Sikeston.
