MCCLURE, Ill. — Steven Ray McHughs, 61, of McClure died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 29, 1955, in Cape Girardeau to Vernon and Dixie Fedderly McHughs.
Steven was a diesel mechanic with First Student Bus Service for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by two children, Steven James McHughs of Olive Branch, Illinois, and Amanda Kay McHughs of Thebes, Illinois; four brothers, William B., Charles G., Larry E. and Vernon G. McHughs Jr.; four sisters, Rebecca L. Craver, Mary G. Smith and Deborah F. and Emily K. McHughs; six grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evelyn P. McHughs.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with pastor Aaron Boyd officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
