STEVEN L. JONES

EAST PRAIRIE -- Steven Lynn Jones, 38, of Nashville, Tenn., died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, at Centennial Towers Medical Center, following a brief illness.

He was born Aug. 10, 1956, in East Prairie, son of Harley and Nervy Woodward Jones.

Jones was a 1974 graduate of East Prairie High School, and received an associate degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

He had been employed by Wal-Mart since 1979 and was manager of a Wal-Mart store in Nashville, where he had lived since 1988.

Survivors include two sisters, Anna Tempel of Belleville, Ill., and Janie Figley of Cunningham, Ky.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 10 a.m. Friday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence Ray officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.
