He was born Feb. 23, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, to the late Robert C. and Wanda M. O'Howell Break.
Steven was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Cape Bible Chapel.

He is survived by his sister, Judy Douglass of Cape Girardeau; a niece, Tonya (Chris) Wybert of Jackson; and great-nieces, Jordan and Madison of Jackson.
There will be no services.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
