MOUNDS, Ill. -- Steve Vick, 54, of Killen, Ala., and formerly of Mounds, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Ala.
He was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Cairo, Ill., the son of Elmer and Madlyn Breazeale Vick. He married Jeanie Wilson. She survives.
He served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division during the Vietnam War. He was a Baptist.
He was the past vice president of the Palmer State Bank in Palmer, Ill.
He also is survived by two sons, Jason and Michael Vick of Killen; a stepson, Keith Magness of Taylorville, Ill; a sister, Shirley Vick Shearer of Grand Chain, Ill.; a stepfather, Edward Lackey of Pulaski, Ill.; and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepbrother and a stepmother.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ohio Chapel Church in Grand Chain, with the Rev. Steve Heisner officiating.
Burial will be at Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Vienna VFW Post 5222.
