Steve Ryan

John Steven "Steve" Ryan, 41, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at his home.

He was born March 19, 1982 in Carbondale, Illinois, to Jerry Ryan and Ann Jordan.

Steve attended high school at Egyptian Community School District in Tamms, Illinois.

Steve was very mechanically inclined and worked as both a welder and a mechanic throughout his life. He was skilled in the art of automotive and motorcycle mechanics. He was especially passionate about Ford Mustangs and performance motorcycles.

When he wasn't hard at work on a project, Steve enjoyed racing both cars and motorcycles, fishing, traveling, enjoying diverse music, attending concerts, off-roading, discovering new cuisine, camping, cooking, grilling, spending time with family and anything outdoors.

Loving survivors include sons, Tyler Ryan and Ian Ryan, both of Jackson; brother, Michael Ryan of Doniphan, Missouri; and many other family members and close friends.

Family will hold a private celebration of life on Sunday, Oct. 8.
