WARE, Ill. -- Stephen Wallenmeyer, 62, of Ware died Sunday, April 15, 2012, in Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
He was born Oct. 16, 1949, in St. Louis, son of Kermit and Mariam Penzoil Wallenmeyer. He married Janet Davis on Nov. 29, 1980, in Jonesboro, Ill.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Wallenmeyer of Ware; a son, Matthew Wallenmeyer of Jonesboro; mother, Mariam Wallenmeyer of Huntsville, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Caleb, Skyler, Autumn, Erin and Christine.
Also three sisters, Janet Szfron of Huntsville, Leta Carr of Mulkeytown, Ill., Myra Doolin of Tyler, Texas; four brothers, Jerry Vaughn of Benton, Ill., Gary Vaughn, Robert Irby and David Irby of Ziegler, Ill.; nieces and nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Danny and Carol Hancock and family and Danielle Henson and family.
Stephen worked as a truck driver and was employed by the city of Cape Girardeau many years.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Friday at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jason Podd officiating. Burial will be in Busby Cemetery.
