Stephen Carl Marquardt, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born July 3, 1945, in Cairo, Ill., son of Carl A. and Mary C. Roberts Marquardt. He and Donna Dagenhart were married in 1967 in Goldsboro, N.C.
Stephen served in the Air Force.
He attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Ill. He managed Marquardt Auction House in East Cape Girardeau, Ill. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church. He had lived in Cape Girardeau 25 years.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Marquardt of Reidsville, N.C.; two brothers, William (Syu-Sya) Marquardt of Vacaville, Calif., Thomas H. (Rosemary) Marquardt of Stone Mountain, Ga.; three nephews, Terry, Michael, and George Marquardt; a great-niece, Aralynn Marquardt; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from noon to service time Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
An interment service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Vincent de Paul Church.
