GRAND CHAIN, Ill. -- Stephen Mark Kohn, 53, of Grand Chain died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, from storm-related injuries.
He was born Jan. 29, 1950, in Chicago, son of Joseph and Deana Bloom Kohn. He married Julie Clark.
Kohn was a teacher 15 years at Cairo Public Schools in Cairo, Ill. He was a member of Illinois Education Association and Cairo Teachers Association.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Courtney and Katey Kohn of Chicago; two sons, Adam and Daniel Kohn of Grand Chain; a stepson, Sheldon Helm of Grand Chain; two sisters, Lynn Cohen of Wheeling, Ill., Cheryl Kohn of Naperville, Ill.; a brother, Bruce Kohn of Chicago; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today in the gymnasium at Century Elementary School in Grand Chain.
Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
