Stephen "Herbie" Glueck, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, May 3, 2020, at his home, surrounded by family.
He was born July 4, 1956, in Cape Girardeau to Herbert and Betty Lou Mehner Glueck. He and Penny Rees were married Jan. 18, 1992, in Gordonville.
He served four years in the U.S. Navy.
He was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
He worked for Laborers Union Local No. 1104 doing highway construction.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 3775 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3838.
He was a collector of many things. Herbie's love was spending time with family and watching his grandchildren play.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Rees of Cape Girardeau; sons, Aaron (Emily) Glueck of Cape Girardeau and Tyler (Ashley) Glueck of Perryville, Missouri; daughter, Amy (Jerry) Baker of Cape Girardeau; sisters, Monica (Leon) of Frohna, Missouri, and Debbie (Rick) Suarez of St. Peters, Missouri; and grandchildren, Ariana and Jameson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Herbie Glueck.
Due to current gathering restrictions, there will be no visitation or service at this time.
Interment will be at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
