Stephanie Genise Johnson, 44, of Garland, Texas, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015, at Texas Health Dallas.
She was born Jan. 22, 1971, in Topeka, Kansas, to the late Clarence David Sr. and Phyllis Anderson Johnson of Cape Girardeau and was of the Baptist faith.
She was a 1989 graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. She was a phlebotomist for Lab Corp until her health failed. She relocated to Dallas in 2010 and worked as a wedding planner.
In addition to her mother, Stephanie is survived by two sons, Chase Johnson of Cape Girardeau and Collin Tipler of Garland; one daughter, Chasidy Johnson of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two brothers, Clarence (Roshanda) Johnson Jr. of Dallas and Scotty (Cassandra) Ayers of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Kimmelyn Anderson and Regina Firerson of Cape Girardeau; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon Friday at Greater Dimensions Ministries in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at noon Friday at the church, with pastor apostle William Bird officiating. Interment will be in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Williams Funeral Home of Charleston, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.
