Stella Statler

PATTON, Mo. -- Stella "Clodine" Statler, 69, of Patton died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 30, 1936, in Bollinger County, Mo., daughter of Elvin and Frieda Cook Long. She and Hobert Statler were married Feb. 16, 1957, in Bollinger County.

Statler was a lifelong member of Post Oak Congregational Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Donald Statler of Marble Hill, Mo., Terry Statler of Patton; three daughters, Wanda Hays and Rhonda Hurd of Patton, Sondra Hanners of Marble Hill; a brother, Perry Long of Marble Hill; a sister, Elsie Pulliam of Patton; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Jimmie Fulbright and Terry Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery near Patton.
