STELLA SIDES

JACKSON -- Funeral for Stella Burger Sides of Jackson will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Ron Watts will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the chapel from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.

Sides, 80, died Monday, July 6, 1998, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 8, 1917, at Kennett, daughter of James Edward and Mollie Bell Hilderbrand Park. She and Lester Burger were married Nov. 9, 1933, in Advance. He died Dec. 24, 1981.

Sides had worked at shoe factories in Advance and Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include three sons, Lester Burger Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Gerald Burger of Chaffee, Marvin Burger of Zalma; two daughters, Betty Kinder of Cape Girardeau, Joyce Schmitz of Jackson; a sister, Helen Brown of St. Louis; 23 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
