PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Stella M. Fassold, 88, of Perryville died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis. Stella was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Perryville, daughter of Clarence and Olivia Charvaux Pecaut. She and Harry W. Fassold were married June 8, 1957. He preceded her in death April 27, 1993...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Stella M. Fassold, 88, of Perryville died Saturday, June 23, 2012, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis.

Stella was born Aug. 23, 1923, in Perryville, daughter of Clarence and Olivia Charvaux Pecaut. She and Harry W. Fassold were married June 8, 1957. He preceded her in death April 27, 1993.

Mrs. Fassold was retired from International Shoe and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jim Yamnitz of St. Louis; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Norma Pecaut of Perryville; and three grandchildren, Nathan, Luke and Maria Yamnitz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Howard and Clarence Pecaut; three sisters, Linda Bishop, Velda Winkler and Ruth Kiefer; a stepsister, Rhonda Woods; and a granddaughter, Kristen Yamnitz.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jim Ward officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.

It is preferred that memorials be sent to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church Endowment or Pony Bird, P.O. Box 190, Mapaville, MO 63065.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
