JONESBORO, Ill. -- Stella Dillow, 84, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at the home of a daughter in Jonesboro.
She was born June 21, 1915, at Wolf Lake, daughter of Alfred and Mary Ann Stone Doughty. She and Bruno J. Dillow were married June 29, 1934, at Jonesboro.
Dillow had been a technician at Anna State Hospital. She was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, and a volunteer at Illinois Veterans Home.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Dillow of Dongola; a daughter, Vera Garrett of Jonesboro; two sisters, Lucille Crowell and Beulah Crowell of Anna; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; five stepgrandchildren; 11 great-stepgrandchildren; and eight great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a stepdaughter, a stepson, and a sister.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. John Cripps will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
